I'm not quite as knowledgeable on Dark Souls lore as I am for Bloodborne or Elden Ring, but I heard a few times that everybody who's ever linked the flame is just supposed to be everybody who's beat DS1, right? That's a lot of people who are *very* powerful.

The Dragon Chime can also be used for Hexes. Having faith doesn’t mean you’re automatically pro-gods because you can also have faith in dark beings. Velka is believed to be the wife of Manus/Furtive Pygmy and her spells require faith. The Dark Lurker shoots darkness at us out of his bare hands meaning the power is coming from his body as opposed to praying to higher beings and getting their powers momentarily. He doesn’t shoot lightning which is the power of the gods. His soul having a bright colour is just because he’s a powerful being. Literally every being in DS1 has the same coloured souls with certain exceptions like DLC boss souls.

You say "So high/low on this list" and other similar iterations for every character, making it monotonous and the attempt at emphasizing the character's importance becomes muddied. Maybe break it up by rerefercing the characters # placement on the list again at the end. This would work well with characters like Aldia who you went into a length and detailed explanation on. Refercing its number on the list again would be a nice refresh of its current standing and open a segway into the next character on the list. Thanks for the vid!
